12 Tags-Funkie Junkie Style # 9

Hello Everyone,
I have always enjoyed making my own flowers, especially when I dabble into the shabby-chic genre, and for this weeks Tag #9 at the Funkie Junkie 12 days of Christmas Challenge   I had the opportunity.
The dominant White in Linda's Tag set my creative juices flowing big time, and I knew I was going to make a flower and it was going to be prominent.

Here is my flower made from white crinkly paper and organza.
Nine circles; three different sizes have been cut and the edges curled.
The Bg is G45 paper which I painted over then embossed words.
Although the flower is a great tactile element I added fine threads to create movement.
To complete the design I included a scroll which has been glittered, some bells and bling.

12 Tags-Funkie Junkie Style # 8

Hello Everyone.

Tag #8 for The Funkie Junkie 12 days of Christmas challenge.

Linda's Tag; my eye loved the three flags and the Bow.
This time my inspiration took me in a different direction than I planned, if you leave your mind open a design will eventuate, this is where it took me.

I am continuing with the Gold glitter and G45 Christmas paper for my Bg's. I did add some washi tape also.
My next 2  layers are die cuts from spellbinders, the top one has some stamping of a Holly flourish.
The bells were stamped and wet embossed before colour applied; using copic markers.
Then they were fussy cut and attached with 3d foam tape to pop them up.
The embellishments are diecut festive greenery, a little heart shaped button and bling, I then finished them off by attaching the ribbon with some twine.
The words have also been stamped and finished off the same way, I wanted to add dimension so layered each letter, then tied some Gold thread haphazardly around for some texture and to give the idea that they are fixed and not floating at the bottom.

12 Tags-Funkie Junkie Style # 7

Hello Everyone,

Just over halfway now and my banner is looking really good, I will attempt a photo of all 12 once finished, but I know with past experience it is not an easy task with my Camera.

This is Tag #7
The Snowflakes are the main focus on Lindas Tag, and this was my inspiration along with the palette.
My snowflake shapes were cut on the cricut using G45 paper and White cardstock.
Diamond dust was applied to one and Gold glitter embossing powder on the other, then it was layered up with a circle to add dimension.
You can just pick up the text stamping on my Bg.
The mini snowflakes were also treated with diamond dust and the word Christmas has been fussy cut from the G45 paper.

Hello Everyone,

I loved the texture on this Tag and of course the Holly leaves and colour scheme, this was my inspiration.
I  stamped the Bg with chicken wire and text stamps. I then stamped my singing birdie and coloured her/him up, fussy cut and placed onto a circle, added a little piece of net then the corrugated cardboard.
My circle and focal point was inked in Vintage Photo distress and edged with glass bead gel.
(Linda had edged her Tag with embossing enamel.)
Other elements are free form holly leaves with teeny weeny buttons and also some diecut leaves.

12 Tags-Funkie Junkie Style #5

Hello Everyone,

I am onto Tag #5 for the Challenge at the Funkie Junkie 12 Tags of Christmas.
Linda's Tag has a scribbly feel this time, so I picked up on this with my tree; the splash of Red commands attention which juxtaposes to the subtle background beautifully.

Graphic 45 paper for the Bg; the tree has been painted then glossy Accents  applied.
Stars were cut on the Cricut and embossed with Glitter.

This Challenge is sponsored by The Funkie Junkie Boutique.
if you want to join in click here.

I cut extra trees and stars when making this Tag so thought I would make some Christmas cards as well.
This Bg was made using the Gelli plate, the Tree has been painted first then dry embossed.
Next I wet embossed in clear embossing powder and while still hot I stamped a script which was inked up with Red archival Ink.
You can click on pics for close ups.

Hope you are having a great week.
Smiles:)
