Always and Forever.

Good Morning from a wet and humid Auckland.
This week I had a few friends around to share some crafting time, and as is always the case, we verbalised more than we created, I did manage to spread some texture paste through a butterfly stencil within the three hours!!!
Very productive of me.
Anyway the next morning, I used the butterflies and made a wedding card, and goodness me no stitching to be seen.... but only because I forgot.

Distress inks have been used to lightly colour up the texture paste images.
The bottom half was heat embossed with White embossing powder, which looks a light cream on my White card stock.
The centre frame has been dry embossed.

The design for the card was inspired by this Sketch, which is this weeks Challenge over on Just Add Ink.

Texture plus plus.

Hello Everyone.
The 'Les Fleurs' doily from Couture Creations is large, I loved how it cut so cleanly without wax paper on my Big Shot. It lends itself beautifully to make a pretty card.

Altering the doily after it was cut, by smooshing with distress paints; dab two colours of paint onto your mat, spritz with water then run the doily through, may need a few runs to have the desired effect. (dry between each run.)
I then versa-marked a few areas straight from the pad and applied Aged Rose embossing powder and set with a heat gun.
Layers add dimension and interest, so the Tulip was stamped with versamark and clear embossed, coloured up then fussy cut.
The cut circle was smooshed in the left over paint on White card stock and dry embossed.
The small centre cut is from the doily die, and this was stamped with text.
 Adding the finishing touches:
And of course for me it has to be more texture; lace and stitching.

Have a great week.
Smiles:)

Framed Weaved Hearts.

Hello Everyone,
And to those who celebrate a Happy Valentines Day.
This is the entry for the 'Just Add Ink challenge' : Just add stripes.

I have a piece of Art for you this morning, I made it for friends  just before Christmas, they had just moved into a new apartment, they have no pictures for their walls so I thought they would like this and I am pleased to say they did.
All the hearts have been weaved out of strips of paper.

I painted and doodled a large piece of watercolour paper, then cut this into strips and covered a Heart Template.

Looking forward to the weekend.
Smiles:)

Thank You beauties X3.

Hello Everyone
I have three little beauties to show you with three different techniques, you will have to put a few minutes aside as there is of course a step by step on their assemblage.

 I used theses two diecuts.
 Mirror Mirror and
Water Lily Set

The result relates a lovely Vintage appeal.
Just what I was wanting.

If you managed to follow all the way to here you did very well, and I hope some inspiration was picked up on the way.

Have a great week,
Smiles:)
