The Green Christmas Tree.

Hello Everyone,
As you all know I have been stretched like a lizard drinking trying to complete my Christmas cards before my trip to the UK, only three more to make now and all is done.
The Artful Times Challenge Blog has a 'GREEN' theme going on this fortnight and so I thought I would use natures hue to make my next card.
Green is thought to be a cool and clean colour especially when combined with White, there is an underlying element of warmth in Blue-Greens and this is apparent in my Tree, as opposed to the somewhat Olive of the Bg, whatever the mix there is never any clashing with Green, it always relates a friendly vibe.

A while back there were cards with a circle cutout to enhance an image I used this design here.
My Tree is made from Tyvek fabric, then painted, the trunk is made up of stitched felt.

The Background is Acrylic paints, then dry embossed.
If you want to join in this Challenge hop along to Artful Times here.

Welcome to my new followers I hope I can inspire you occasionally.
Have a great week,
Smiles:)
Sue

I was wondering what the tree was made from. Great use of Tyvek - and it looks so good.
Gosh, you have really spent some time making this card - somewhere out there is one lucky recipient.

Wow, Sue!

That Tyvek tree looks awesome. And the dry embossing with the acrylic painted background is such a great effect. I do have some Tyvek lying around somewhere - should use it more often. Your card is so inspiring!

Thank you so much for your understanding and encouraging comment on my blog! It's always wondeful to find that your thoughts have touched others out there. Small steps it will have to be with me as well. ;)

Big hug,
Claudia xx
