Mixed Media House Card.

Hello Everyone,

Today a little card with a pretty House.
The inspiration for this creation was obtained from Jo Firth Young; designer over at Paper Artsy Challenge Blog. She made a triptych of houses and I just loved all the texture she obtained.
I have been wanting to partake in these Challenges for such a long time and today I have the opportunity..  I also wanted to join Lynn over at the Mixed Media Monthly Challenge, who has a stunning colour pic for inspiration.
It is the Hot Orange and the flowers that grabbed my eye it relates warmth and friendliness, I have tried to convey this in my creation here.
I made up my papers first with the gelli plate.
(there are tutorials on you tube for this process if you are not familiar with the plate.)
I enhanced the design by doodling over the shapes.
Added some texture paste.
And some Glass bead gel on the door.
Painted a fence and dry embossed the house in various texture fades.
Can you see the organza for the smoke on the chimney.
Adding the glamour.

The Paper Artsy Challenge is HERE.

Challenges such as these are a good way to extend yourself creatively.

Smiles:)

You are so inspirational, Sue! I sat here mesmerized by your entire creative process and this stunning work of art! I've been enjoying your blog for a long time and joined ages ago. I'm delighted to see that you have come by the Playhouse and are following me, too! I'm behind on my introductions of my new followers, but I should be getting caught up soon. I know a lot of my readers are going to be just as impressed and amazed by your talent as I am!! Hugs, Darnell

OMG..you could do an entire post on just how you make your paper! My eyeballs leaped when I saw the incredible detail you hand add. That makes this piece even more special and then to see one of your trademark favorite flowers was the icing on the cake. This card is spectacular and as always, a wonderful creative journey you've taken me on!
Thanks so much for the email. My grandmother came to stay for a week and I've just now returned to the computer. I'll write back ASAP, but wanted to see your blog and what I've missed.
Big hugs to you Onion!
Quirks.
