A Stressful Time.

Hello All,
I have some lovely friends I am pleased to say and goodness did I need to call on them this week, Rob, my dearest one decided to have a heart attack, it was so unexpected, as is often the case, but I am pleased to say that he has suffered no serious complications but is now the proud owner of a stent in one of his arteries.
He is being discharged today with enough pills to make him rattle (his words) and I will have him home for two weeks!!! I love him dearly...but two weeks, I don't know who I should feel sorry for, me or him.
Humour aside,  I am so relieved that it was not more serious, he is recovering well.

My spirits were lifted this morning when my friend arrived unexpectedly with a card she had made, it was not for me but it was made out of all the cast-offs I had given her from my stash, she wanted a baby card and this is how she put all the pieces together, she did all the colour work herself except for the Bg's, you will no doubt recognise my stitching. I have to admit I was pleased as punch with the outcome, this is only the second card she has made.

How do you think she did? Not bad for pieces that were destined for my rubbish bin.

Hope all is well your end,
Smiles:)
Sue

Boy does this ever sound familiar - my hubby had the exact same thing happen back in February, Sue - stent inserted, lots of pills to take, (still taking them) home for two weeks (yes, I went a little crazy) and thankful that he is okay. I know just how you are feeling and I am so happy Rob is alright! Sending hugs, well wishes and TOTAL understanding! ♥

Oh my goodness Sue, I can imagine how worried you must have been. Hopefully the stent will do its work and life will get back to normality. Fabulous card , a new cardmaker joins us me thinks. Hugs Rita xxx

I knew something was off. You've been on my mind since your last post and I thought to pester you in email and then life got crazy and now I'm here seeing this shocking and horrible yet "phew, what a relief" news. Please tell Rob we send our very best to him and I hope you both come out of this unscathed...LOL. I'm sure it will be lovely and I'm so happy the situation was not worse. I know he's the one that suffered the heart attack, but I hope your heart has found its way out of your throat and back into your chest. I'm so grateful for your supportive friends and obviously CRAFTY friends too. That card is genuinely precious and I love how it turned out. :)
Hugs to you Onion,
Quirks

Oh Sue! How frightening for you and your husband!! I'm pleased that the attack was one that could be "managed" with a stent. As for the card...it's such a cute combination of elements.

What a scary time for you - so glad that he came out of it as well as can be expected. I hope you are over the shock.

Your friend made a gorgeous card - would never have known it was from bits and pieces!

Have a lovely weekend honey!

So sorry to hear about your husband. I hope he gets a little stronger each day. Mine had one too about 18 months ago. He had the angioplasty but did not need a stent. They were able to blow the clogged part out.
He eventually returned to work and decided to retire 8 years early. His job was very stressful and he worked and travelled non stop. I am glad to have him home!

Of course we are much older than you both...so your fellow's must have been so unexpected. Healing thoughts travelling across the pond!
