Back to basics....

Hello Everyone
I am still playing in my craft room, and still not much is being created that I am very happy with, I am all over the place, so I thought I would return to what I enjoy doing on a card instead of trying to do something unique....which is not working at all.

I stamped up the Hero Arts Hydrangea  in distress inks and heat embossed, but unfortunately being distress inks it does not show up too well.
My next favourite step is to sew, distress, and layer up.
Then adding some fluffy ribbon, lace and Bumblebee as the elements to give it a Shabby look, and at the same time adding the texture.
One of my favourite Challenge Blog is Stamping Sensations and this month the theme is:
Embossing and Texture

I hope you all have a great week.

I think the hydrangea looks beautiful in those colours - a really lovely card! Good idea to take time out from things causing you frustration, and just do something you enjoy for a while!

Hi Sue--Actually I think the effect with the Distress Inks is even better for this card which is a beauty! That lace is incredible & how unexpected & wonderful to add the bumble bee--love it!

Yes, yes, yes...this card IS trademark Onion with it's glamorous stitching and the whimsical elements and pull of nature and colors and textures; which is all jaw dropping gorgeous, but you skimmed over the part of trying to do something unique....oh you have my full attention and interest peaked on that!! ;) I think we should challenge each other to a totally odd ball off the wall challenge, using the same elements and see where our muses take us. I need a serious injection of mojo!
Your creation is just superb my friend!!!
