Glorious, Gorgeous Refreshing Green.

Hello again everyone.

              "How Green is Your Spring"
Show us Spring in its full splendour, using GREEN as your main colour!
Green is abundant in Nature, it represents growth and renewal,  and because of all this green in nature the colour is reminiscent of Spring.
The palette is often cool and clean especially when combined with White, for example Mint Green, but it can also generate a warmth as in Yellow/Greens
So with all this information and the inspirational montage, I urge you to dig out your Emerald, fir, forest, jade, lime, mint, moss, olive, pine, sage, sap, sea green, spring green, and viridian, and start creating.
I love working with Green, the Palette is restful, calming and cheerful, if you are feeling irksome after an intractable day, surround yourself in Green and you will find your melancholy mood dissipate into nothingness, and you will transcend into tranquillity and calmness. I am not talking cods-wallop here, it is all true.

To encourage you even further, I hope to inspire you with MY interpretation:

The flower is Penny Black from the 'to You' T-set.
White embossed and coloured in distress stains.

My Bg  is a montage of various stamps in distress stains.

The flowers are attached to the edge of the punched out circle , and the sentiment is on the inside, not attached to the front of card.

Sending you a Postcard from.....

Hello Everyone and Haere mai (Welcome)

I am sending you a Postcard from Aotearoa (also known as New Zealand).

I live in NZ,  and Rob and I have regular short breaks within this beautiful country, it is a great place to relax and unwind and enjoy what it has to offer; which is an abundance of friendly natives; such as myself, and great scenery and food, we must have good food!

The first item on the agenda is to learn about our Native bird 'The Kiwi'; a national symbol. Now you understand why we homo sapiens in NZ are known as Kiwis.
Secondly, the colour Blue, it represents our coastline that borders the Tasman Sea and the Pacific Ocean, so it can be rugged and sheltered.

The Silver Fern.
NZ is the home of the most beautiful Fern in the World.
The Koru  represents the unfurled new leaf, the Maori word and meaning is 'Beginning of Life.'

The element that is sitting on top of the ferns is a Paua Shell, (a shell fish) once again unique to New Zealand.
If you like Abalone then you will love Paua.
The colourful shell is used to make jewellery and souvenirs.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Three Favourites....

Here are 3 cards that I personally love, I thought you may like to see them again,  it is interesting to see how one develops in this craft over a period of time. I  have come to realise that although I have a favourite genre (Shabby Chic), I am rather versatile when it comes to other techniques, though I will concede that CAS is the hardest genre for me to master.
I hope you enjoy seeing them again:

Wall hanging

Hello Everyone

I printed out the image in three different sizes and coloured up in Copics, using different hues for each plaque.
The kitten has been fussy cut, and attached with a little dimensional tape in the middle and  then I glued down the edges. (hopefully Scarlett proof!)
The die-cuts are Spellbinders  'Floral Ovals' and 'Scalloped ovals.

Broken china distress ink used on the edges with some kindyglitz and a few pearls to the butterfly wings.
And there you have it a little cutie of a wall-hanging, that I know Precious will love.
Hope you have a great week creating beautiful cards and things.

Meet Gilly

Hello Everyone
Today I am showing you Gilly who is a bit of a Geek, she doesn't seem to have much going for her with her oversized spectacles  and goggle eyes, but nevertheless she is rather sweet don't you think? I wish I could tell you where she comes from in cyber land but unfortunately I did not keep a record, but it is a digi that was more than likely given to me at some point.
( Update since I posted, Linda has informed me that Gilly is from the Prairie Family are than inspired.  I find working to a sketch uncomplicated, as I have the tendency to veer off in all directions when left to my own doohickey's, and more often than not the results are not always estimable.
I am going through the process of dealing with numerous amounts of contractors (New Kitchen) at this time, so the least amount of cogitating on my behalf is exactly what is called for.

And notice the die-cut sits off the edge of the card.
