A re-worked cast-off!!

Hello Everyone
Remember  I said I had a number of disasters when I did the LIM one layer Challenge last week, well I did not throw everything away! I found this stray image on my desk, and thought it could be re-worked into a card.

So I feel some satisfaction that all my frustrations of last week have dissipated and I have something positive to show for it.

First a close look at my butterfly.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge #165 is 'Shabby Chic'. (I had to enter a challenge that has this theme!!) I think the flower is the main focal point and the sentiment secondary, I hope so as the card will be kicked off expeditiously no doubt. OH well, it is a card that I saved from the bin and it was great fun seeing it come together so well.

                                                            The reconstructed card

The stamp is Penny Black ' Blush' 2666K it is one I have used so many times.
Everything has been distressed as you can see.
HA sentiment CL493.

JUGS Challenge #98 "Colour."

Make it Monday #51 sponsored by......

Thanks for dropping in, I hope you all have a productive week.
Smiles:)

Perfect example of why you never throw out the bad ones. This is gorgeous, shows what you can do with a little imagination. Love your color highlight.

Oh I love that stamp, I think it would become my favourite too. Great rescue, I rarely throw out "cards gone wrong" TFS

when I read your blog post title in my sidebar, I though you meant you got your "moon boot" off! "Cast" made me think of plaster, which I guess you didn't have.

Love the Blush image; I haven't used mine in forever, but I might have to find it

Darling card....love the red which makes the shabby quit chic! ;-)

Gorgeous! Glad you could rework it. Is it shabby chic, or primitive? What ever it's 'called', I love it! Found you at Make It Monday.

Hi Sue, love this card--gorgeous and I love the shabby chci look. Hope that you are doing great and recovering from your accident. Take care and God bless. (I just got home from a 2 1/2 weeks vacation and have not had any time to create any cards.) Hugs to you.

LOL, well great. Now I'm 99% sure I've thrown away some less than desirables that I could have salvaged. :( Better late than never. I'll start a "cast-off" box and challenge myself to use them. Great idea!
Thanks so much Sue for your comments this morning on my blog..first one to comment too, I might add :D
You made my day saying that and it's been a pleasure as always seeing your knock out cards.
OH..P.S. Your email was perfect and I did manage to make a Shabby Chic in under 5 hours...WOO HOO..
